Description
The opportunity to hear the first-person account of a Holocaust survivor is often a once in a lifetime experience. Join us on May 6 as Hershel Greenblat shares his story.
Hershel Greenblat was born in the Ukraine in 1941. The first two years of his life were spent hiding in a cave. After World War II ended, the Greenblat family lived in displaced persons camps for 5 years before receiving permission to immigrate to the U.S. They settled in Atlanta and Hershel's father opened a grocery store in the Buttermilk Bottom neighborhood.
