Espresso crusted beef carpaccio, pan roasted gulf snapper and key lime panna cotta are just a few of the exclusive, one-night only menu items that will be offered along Avalon Boulevard during the third annual Savor the Boulevard event. On Sunday, June 6 from 6:30 to 9 p.m., Avalon, Alpharetta mixed-use destination, will transform into an al fresco dining experience under the stars. Tickets are now on sale. And, spots are selling fast!
Featuring seven of Avalon’s best-in-class restaurants, the one-of-a-kind culinary celebration benefits Giving Kitchen, a nonprofit that provides emergency assistance to restaurant workers in crisis.
“Savor the Boulevard is an incredible opportunity for our chef-driven restaurants to showcase their talents and we can’t wait to invite the community to enjoy this exclusive culinary experience at Avalon,” said Lauren Ness, marketing manager for Avalon. “The pandemic has created significant hardships for the restaurant industry and we’re excited to once again partner with Giving Kitchen and raise funds to support its life-changing mission.”
With tables spanning Avalon Boulevard, the open-air dinner party invites guests to indulge in an exceptional street-level dining experience. During the event, each restaurant will activate its own themed table and serve a thoughtfully curated prix fixe four-course meal along with delightful beverage pairings. Participating restaurants include Biltong Bar, Branch & Barrel, Colletta, Cru Wine Bar, Oak Steakhouse, Rumi’s Kitchen and South City Kitchen.
Beginning at 6:30 p.m., restaurants will host a welcome reception for dinner guests to check-in and receive complimentary craft cocktails. At 6:45 p.m., guests will take their seats at tables beautifully designed by local florists and designers. The table décor comes as part of a Designer’s Showcase in which florists and designers’ partner with Avalon restaurants to compete for the best tablescape creation. During the event, guests will cast their vote for their favorite tablescape via social media and a winner will be crowned at the end of the evening. At 7 p.m., a grand welcoming toast will kick off the four-course dinner. Throughout the evening, a live DJ will provide music and entertainment.

Proceeds from Savor the Boulevard will benefit Giving Kitchen (GK), a local nonprofit founded in 2013 that provides emergency assistance to restaurant workers through financial support and a network of community resources. In 2020, GK awarded $940,000 of financial assistance to nearly 2,500 food service workers. In January and February of this year, GK awarded $361,000 to food service workers – the largest amount of financial assistance in any two month span in its history.
Co-Founder and GK Marketing and Communications Director Jen Hidinger-Kenrick says, “Giving Kitchen is proud to be the nonprofit beneficiary of Savor the Boulevard. We are grateful not only for the generous financial donation, but for also sharing our mission to food service workers: GK is here to help them. Thank you to all of the restaurants participating in this fantastic event and to our friends at Avalon for picking up a shift for food service workers in crisis.”
Ticket prices range from $120-$130. Seating will be grouped by restaurant selection and assigned based on the time of ticket purchase. As part of this, Avalon has deployed a series of preventative measures that include increasing sanitation procedures in all common areas and on high touch surfaces; and posting signage and decals throughout the property to reinforce best practices. The full list of safety precautions taken can be found here: www.experienceavalon.com/safety-precautions.
