Yes, we are offering STEM Camps this summer at Discover Science Center, but with additional precautions and restrictions for those ready to send their kids for a week of fun science activities. Online Summer STEM Camps are also available for those staying home this summer.
ONSITE SUMMER CAMPS |
Sign your kids up for a fun-filled summer at Discover Science Center. Kids will learn about sharks and jellyfish, explore our solar system and launch rockets, and investigate cells and body systems. Our science camps are enhanced with art and creativity projects to help kids integrate what they have learned during the week.
- 8:30am-4:30pm - Drop off begins at 8:30am. Campers must be picked up by 4:30pm - $299/week
- Extended hours from 8:00am until 5:30pm - Drop off begins at 8:00am. Campers must be picked up by 5:30pm - $349/week
- Sibling discount available (10% off additional sibling registration for same week of camp).
- Campers are grouped by age (5-8 and 8-11 year olds) for age-appropriate activities and instruction by our Camp Leaders. NOTE: Age groupings may change slightly depending on the number of campers registered for each age group.
- New this summer: Campers must be dropped off and picked up at the designated drop-off areas in front of our Science Center (suite 5 - 5-8 year olds) or STEM Lab (suite 21 - 8-11 year olds).
- Campers should bring two snacks, lunch and a water bottle each day, and wear close-toed shoes.
- Temperatures (non-contact) will be taken for all campers upon arrival. Campers will be required to properly wash their hands upon arrival, throughout the day, and before they leave to go home. We will also be disinfecting their work areas throughout the day, and ventilating the classrooms as long a weather permits. We will also follow any additional guidelines that are provided as we progress through this unprecedented event.
At this time, camps will be limited to 9 campers per age group, so there are very few spots left in many of our camps. If local restrictions on group sizes are relaxed over time, we will increase class size as allowed, with a self-imposed maximum of 12 campers per age group. ONLINE CAMPS |
Not sure about sending your kids to camp this summer? Keep them engaged and sign them up for our online summer STEM camps! We do many of the same activities planned for our camps at Discover Science Center, but kids do them at home as our Educators lead them online, and we provide supplies.
- Online camps are designed for 6-11 year olds, although parental assistance will be needed for some activities.
- Three 1-hour online camp activities are scheduled each day (Monday-Friday most weeks) at 10:00am, 1:00pm and 2:30pm (Eastern Time).
- We provide supplies for camp activities! Non-contact pickup of supplies is available 10:00am-4:00pm Monday-Friday beginning May 18 at Discover Science Center (2500 Old Alabama Rd, suite 5, Roswell). Shipping options are available for most camps at an additional cost (please register at least one week prior to the start of camp for shipping option).
- $225/week ($180 for Coding Week)
- Sibling discount available (50% off additional sibling registration for same week of camp).
