Math was never my strong suit, nor was I even a part of the Greek community in college, so I can't say Pi ever meant a lot to me. But, one thing I can get behind is pie....I mean pizza pie or, even better, fruit pies!
My childhood was accented with the best homemade apple pies that only my grandmother could make, though I've tried so hard to duplicate her effortless talents. What I've found, though, is even if I follow her recipe to a tee, it's never the same. She was flawless, and I know it must have to do with how much love she put into everything she made for our family.
I will always have a soft spot for pies, and if Pi Day, March 14th, gives us an excuse to partake, well, who am I to argue?
