My first project with my food processor was to make pie dough. We had an event where I needed to bring a dessert and the only supplies I already had in my house were the ingredients to make a cherry pie. This, for me, is a win-win as I am the only one in my house that will eat cherry pie, so this way I can share it and not have to eat the whole thing myself! But making pie crust has never been my strong suit, so I was excited to find a recipe for doing it all in a food processor.
Getting started wasn't tough. Well, once I read the directions on how to line everything up anyway! I love how Cuisinart ensures that your device is safe to use before you are able to power it on. Its exclusive, patent-pending SealTightTM Advantage System seals the bowl, while its patented BladeLock system keeps blades securely in place when pouring out ingredients.

I've made a lot of pie crusts in my past, but this one came together with such little effort and I barely needed a rolling pin to make my crust. Here's the recipe that I used. It turned out great!

The Cuisinart Elemental 11 Food Processor will certainly become one of my go-to tools in my kitchen. From making meals for my family of four, two prepping dishes for a larger group, it's ease-of-use makes this a favorite in our household. I can already see meal preparation becoming more fun as I experiment with everything it can do!
