REVIEW: Finding "Me Time" at Opulence Nail Bar & Boutique

It's a rare occurrence for me to take time for myself. Usually, when I drop off my son at preschool, the 4-hour countdown begins and the list of all the things I have to do races through my mind....the full laundry hampers, the dishwasher that needs to be unloaded, the meals that need to be planned and groceries that need to be bought. Ah, yes, all those fun chores that seem never-ending in the life of a parent and always manage to squelch any hope of "me time." But a couple weeks ago, I let all those things slide and I finally put myself first. And I'm so glad I did.

That morning, I spent time being pampered at Opulence Nail Bar & Boutique, conveniently located off of Old Milton Parkway in Alpharetta, just east of North Point Parkway. I was first treated to the Lavish Pedicure by Angel, a mom herself who knows just how precious a little "me time" is. She took great care of me while I relaxed on their couch, my feet soaking in the foot tub at just the perfect temperature. One thing I loved about Opulence is the way they ensure a clean, sanitary experience. They set their standards higher than the Georgia mandated specifications on cleanliness and ensure your experience will not only be relaxing, but also germ-free.

After I had the perfect color on my toes, I walked my well-massaged feet over to their facial room where I met Nicole. Having only had a facial once before many moons ago, I wasn't sure what to expect, but I again looked forward to just relaxing. Under the VERY experienced hands of Nicole, my face was treated to the most wonderful products being massaged in gently, opening my pores and cleaning my skin. She also included a shoulder and upper chest massage which was just what I needed after a tough workout the day before. She also did a brow and lip waxing, plus a few extractions on me which, I'm not going to lie, were slightly uncomfortable, but she worked quickly and gently and they were soon over. Ah, the price we pay for beauty!

Seriously, compared to the other facial that I had had at a high-end day spa, Nicole was hands-down the best! I would highly recommend her.

And though both of my services were excellent, what I loved most about Opulence were the people. Everyone I met that day was so sweet and easy to talk to. I felt like we were long-lost friends, finally getting a chance to reconnect. How wonderful to go into a business and be made to feel so comfortable and at home.
