The Georgia Aquarium invited my family and me to be guests during Spring Break which was a welcome invitation as it had been a year or so since we had last visited. I find that with each year my children grow, they experience what seems commonplace to us in a new way. Their eyes are wide open to catch small details that we may overlook. I suppose this is what's fascinating about being a parent. We get to experience life through the eyes of our children and rediscover the world with them.
My oldest wanted to take a shot at touching the rays at the touch pools, so we headed there next, and he got his chance. It's so fun that you can really get a "feel" for these beautiful animals.

AT&T Dolphin Show
There was one thing I was certainly most excited about on my trip to the aquarium and that was catching the AT&T Dolphin Show for the first time. We were given the suggestion to get in line 30 minutes prior to the show, so we followed the advice and joined the end of an already VERY long line! I was slightly nervous that our seats wouldn't be very good since there seemed to be a huge number of people in front of us, but was pleasantly surprised after we quickly made our way up the escalator and down the halls to the auditorium. This place is enormous and there is PLENTY of seating available.
We had read that the best seats were at the top row of the first section, so we made our way up there and found our seats. If you want to be able to see the dolphins swimming and you don't mind getting splashed, get in line a bit earlier and grab yourself one of the first few rows. But, I was pleased with our seats because we had the prime view of all the action.
The show tells the story of the relationship between humans and dolphins spun through music, actors, special effects, and audience participation. It was really spectacular and my boys are still talking about it! The man skiing on the back of two dolphins was my 7-year-old's favorite! This show is a must-see when you visit the aquarium, so be sure to pick up your tickets upon arrival.

There are a couple of exhibits we missed since I was with two 3-year-olds and a 7-year-old: Deepo's Undersea 3D Wondershow and Sea Monsters Revealed: Aquatic Bodies. We'll have to catch them first next time around.
Rest assured, no matter how many times you've visited the Georgia Aquarium, there is always something new to experience, especially through the eyes of a child.
All exhibits are included with the Total Ticket. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit their website HERE.
