Meet the Child Actors from "Nanny McPhee Returns"

August 23, 2010
With "Nanny McPhee Returns" opening on Friday, August 20th, we wanted to introduce you to the child actors in the new film.   Before you take your kids to see the film, you can discuss acting as a career with your kids and how child actors are often just like them.  You can also discuss other careers and get your kids thinking about what they want to be when they grow up.

Asa Butterfield plays Norman, the oldest of the three “country cousins."  At 13 years old, Norman has already acted with Anthony Hopkins in the movie “The Wolfman,” and he is currently filming with acclaimed director Martin Scorsese!  He lives in London and enjoys playing piano and squash.  Lil Woods plays his sister Megsie.  Lil is from Wales and speaks Welsh fluently (one of the rarest languages in the world, spoken by less than one million people). When not acting, Lil fosters rescue dogs and one day hopes to run a dog rescue organization.  The youngest of the country cousins is Vincent, played by Oscar Thomas George Steer.  Oscar was only 6 years old during the filming of "Nanny McPhee Returns," and he is the middle child of five children.  He lives in Kent, England, and "Nanny McPhee Returns" is his first film.

The “city cousins” are Celia (played by 13-year-old Rosie Taylor-Ritson) and Cyril (played by Eros Vlahos). Rosie is a talented singer, dancer, and guitar player who has 2 cats and 2 rabbits.  She has been on stage since age 4, and she is very excited to be appearing in her first film. At age 14, Eros is the oldest of the cousins in the film.  A native Londoner, Eros is a natural comedian (as his scene stealing in the movie will attest) who has performed stand-up comedy routines since age 8.  He is a regular actor on England’s BBC Network and has a pet chihuahua.  Macaroni Kid is proud to be working with Universal Pictures to help promote this great family film.
