Focusing on whole-child education, Goddard Windward supports the academic-intellectual, social-emotional and physical growth of all students.
How is Goddard Windward different? Goddard Windward’s teachers are truly the best of the best. With degrees in education-related fields and decades of experience, Goddard’s faculty continues to pour into their students and families creating a bond that holds through the test of time. Additionally, they have an on-site owner, Mrs. Jenna, who is a former teacher with a background in Developmental Psychology. She is hands-on in all processes creating a unified and supported management team starting from the top with immediate effects on teacher relationships and in turn, overall happiness for both their faculty and families.
What is included in tuition at Goddard Windward? Goddard Windward offers inclusive pricing for a variety of schedules. They offer half day (8:30am-12:30pm/9am-1pm), school day (8:30am-2:30pm/9am-3pm) or full day (7am-6pm) with 2/3/4/5 day options. Enrichment classes are also included in tuition. Yoga and Mindfulness, Immersive Spanish, Music and Movement, Chess and Physical Education are all added to student’s academic days taught by additional teachers incorporating their homeroom teachers as well. A farm-to-table lunch and snack menu with organic milk served daily is also included. Additionally, all parades, special activities, dress up days, special visitors are all a part of your child’s educational plan at Goddard Windward.
What about COVID procedures? Goddard Windward has effectively navigated the pandemic with multiple procedural adjustments and additional sanitation procedures including using their medical-grade HALO machine for full school sanitation, UV sanitizers in the HVAC systems, electromagnetic sprayers used nightly, and so much more. Mask policy is in place for all adults in the building. Policies are changing often so reach out directly to Mrs. Jenna and her team for up-to-date information. They do have a very strict wellness policy.
What holidays do they celebrate? They celebrate EVERYTHING and EVERYONE at Goddard Windward! From more well-known holidays like Diwali, Chinese New Year and Christmas to more unique holidays like National Pirate day and National Teddy Bear Picnic day, Goddard Windward is always celebrating and honoring as many holidays as they can. They celebrate Juneteenth and discuss the importance of togetherness and equality as well as Rainbow Dress Up day celebrating the diversity of the families they have at Goddard. Although they do not teach religion, the goal is to always make sure children see their family represented in their classroom and throughout their school journey.
