Milton PD RAD Womens' Self Defense Course Coming Up August 2019!

By Milton Police Department July 29, 2019

We’re excited to announce that the Milton Police Department will be hosting our next RAD Women's Basic Self Defense course this August! This 12-hour course is available for females ages 13 and up.

During the classes, students can expect discussions about existing dangers and explanations of several self-defense techniques suitable for women of all ages and abilities, while having the opportunity to participate in hands-on practice and training simulations. The class is designed to give practical responses to women during various levels of confrontation, from passive verbal comments to severe aggressive acts. The cost per attendee is $40 and can be paid during the first session of the class. This cost also includes a course manual and lifetime admittance to any RAD Women's Basic Self-Defense course that is held nationwide.

Our next course, which is scheduled over a two-week period, will be held over the dates below:

  • Tuesday, 8/13, from 5:30pm until 8:30pm
  • Thursday, 8/15, from 5:30pm until 8:30pm
  • Tuesday, 8/20, from 5:30pm until 8:30pm
  • Thursday, 8/22, from 5:30pm until 8:30pm

We will be hosting the classes in the Municipal Court (located on Deerfield Parkway). This is a physical class and does require striking and kicking motions; students must attend all sessions in order to successfully complete the course.

*Please note – a minimum of 10 students is required in order to hold the course. If for any reason the minimum is not met, the course may be rescheduled.*
