Clara and her Nutcracker Prince will return to the Gwinnett Performing Arts Center this holiday season for the 32nd annual production of Gwinnett Ballet Theatre’s The Nutcracker. One of the largest and most attended productions of this family favorite event in the Metro Atlanta area, GBT’s production will delight audiences for 16 performances on weekends between December 6-22, 2013.
This traditionally told version of The Nutcracker will be performed by three casts of approximately 130 individuals. Magnificent sets, costumes, and beautiful dancing are all a part of the experience. 11 public shows and 5 outreach shows are on the calendar. Of the public shows, 8 are performed to the music of the Gwinnett Ballet Theatre Orchestra, a group of approximately 35 professional musicians from the region led by Maestro Predrag Gosta, a conductor of international renown.
The schedule consists of the annual *Scout Show on December 6th at 7:30, plus three public shows danced to recorded music on Saturday, December 7th at 2:30 and 7:30 and Sunday, December 8th at 2:30.
Orchestra shows will be performed on Fridays, December 13th and 20th at 7:30; Saturdays, December 14th and 21st at 2:30 and at 7:30; and Sundays, December 15th and 22nd at 2:30.
