Review: Sesame Street Live: Can't Stop Singing

My family and I had the opportunity to see Sesame Street Live: Can't Stop Singing at Philips Arena this past Friday night. I knew my 2-year-old loved Sesame Street, and I knew he loved music, but I had no idea what his reaction would be to seeing some of his favorite characters on stage. Let me just say, there is nothing that makes me happier as a parent than to see my children over-the-moon ecstatic! And that's exactly what this show delivered.

Loosely formatted like the hour-long television program, we're led through a story where Elmo casts a spell with Abby Cadabby's magic wand and the whole loveable crew "can't stop singing!" The songs are spin-offs of all of your favorite tunes, and even some you may have heard while watching the show. They even introduce the letter and number of the day, and keep the crowd participating with lots of interaction and characters dancing in the aisle.

The arena was buzzing with so much excitement and fun that it kept even my 7-year-old son engaged and laughing throughout the show.

The performance lasted a total of about 75 minutes, including a 15-minute intermission, which was the perfect length for the toddler-aged crowd.

Unfortunately, the show ended on Sunday, so you'll have to catch it the next time around. Make sure you do as it is so awesome to see the smiles from all of the kids in the audience, and I'll admit it, I had a lot of fun, too!

Have a great week!

My family and I received tickets to the show for review, but the thoughts above are all my own.
