REVIEW: The Dromida Rally Car

By Erin Stolle, Publisher - Macaroni Kid Alpharetta/Roswell/Milton December 5, 2016
"Dad, can I have a try?"

It was the one thing I heard over and over from my boys from the moment that my husband got a hold of the remote control for the Dromida Rally Car from Hobbico. The fun was instant....for all of the "boys" in my house!

This fully-assembled car was a breeze to set up. The battery does require a two-hour charge before use, so keep that in mind if you're giving it as a gift for the holidays and want to be able to play with it "right out-of-the-box." Other than that, you simply pop the body of the car back on to the chassis and secure it with four cotter pins. It took no time at all and the car was off to the races.

There is a little bit of a learning curve to get used to the feel of the remote and how the car responds. My six-year-olds reaction was "Wow! That's fast!" He couldn't be any more accurate. The Dromida Rally Car has quite a lot of zip and pep to it and moves about at a high speed. We took it out to our covered patio, which was a little wet, and gave it a try. Check out the video to see how it zips along smoothly! The car has reached speeds of up to 30 MPH!

What I also love is that the front bumper is foam, so it protects the car and anything it may crash into! Especially while you're getting the feel of how to drive it, crashes are going to happen and this car can handle it with ease.

All of my boys got to have a turn at driving the car and loved how maneuverable it was. Whether on- or off-road, it'll be a hit for everyone in the family, making it a great gift for the holidays.

The Dromida Rally Car retails for $109.99. To learn more about it and find a dealer, click HERE.
